Adam Chin Leung Kam: the architect of caribbean combat sports
Adam Chin Leung Kam is the Owner and Head Instructor of Budokan – Chin Leung Martial Arts, one of Trinidad & Tobago’s most respected martial arts institutions. With decades of experience across Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts, Adam is also deeply involved in athlete development, coaching, and event promotion across the Caribbean through his MMA promotion Caribbean Ultimate Fist Fighting (CUFF), and his newest grappling promotion CHOKE.
He serves as the President of the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MMAATT) and the Vice President of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Wrestling and Beach Wrestling Federation (TTOWBWF). Adam is widely recognized as the father of MMA in Trinidad, known for building structured programs that blend technical excellence, discipline, culture, and community, and for creating pathways that expose Caribbean athletes to world-class instruction and international opportunities.

Master Sylvio Behring: lineage of jiu-jitsu excellence
Master Sylvio Behring is one of the most respected figures in the history of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, holding an 8th-degree Coral Belt. A direct student of Flavio Behring and the founder of the Sylvio Behring Association (SBA), his career spans over 40 years of teaching and developing elite practitioners. Master Behring has been instrumental in spreading traditional, pressure-based Jiu-Jitsu globally, mentoring countless world-class black belts, instructors, and academy owners.
He is renowned for his emphasis on connection, leverage, efficiency, and old-school fundamentals. Training under Master Behring is widely regarded as a rare opportunity to experience pure, lineage-based Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the highest level, an experience that promises to deepen your understanding and refine your techniques.

Professor Jesse Richardson: the art of technical clarity
Professor Jesse Richardson is a senior 5th-degree Black Belt under Master Sylvio Behring and one of the leading instructors within the Behring Jiu-Jitsu system. He is known for his exceptional ability to break down complex concepts, with a strong focus on structure, pressure, and technical clarity. With extensive international teaching experience, Professor Richardson plays a crucial role in ensuring high-level individual attention, technical refinement, and continuity during all GRIP training sessions.
His approachable teaching style makes advanced techniques accessible and understandable, allowing participants to grasp the subtle nuances of Jiu-Jitsu and integrate them into their practice effectively. Professor Richardson's expertise ensures that every guest receives personalized guidance to maximize their learning experience.

Professor Don Magboo: MMA CUFF World Champion and BJJ Professor
Professor Don Magboo is an lifetime martial artist with a long list of accomplishments, including 3 time CUFF Champion. Don is not only a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but also a kru in muay thai, a world class personal trainer and one of the best MMA coaches out there. With his years of fighting and experience in the fitness and health world, Professor Don knows the perfect formula for anyone that comes to him to achieve their goals. We are blessed to have someone like Professor Don Magboo on our GRIP team of profesionals here in Trinadad and Tobago.

Professor Oziel Moreno
Oziel Moreno is a Mexican-born Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who began his journey shortly after moving to Canada, where he was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu by a coworker. What started as a casual invitation quickly evolved into a lifelong path centered on discipline, identity, and self-mastery.
Oziel has trained continuously for 13 years and is a 1st-degree black belt under the Sylvio Behring Association (SBA). His primary instructor is Professor Jesse Richardson, a 5th-degree black belt, and he received his first black belt degree directly from Master Sylvio Behring, honoring both mentorship and lineage.
